rusl4 Posted January 29 #1 Posted January 29 I acquired a Marine uniform and with it came a notebook he brought back. I would like to find someone that might be able to translate it. Thanks in advance.
Mr. Bushido Posted January 29 #2 Posted January 29 The handwriting is very old-fashioned and only some of it is legible. Are there any other pages, such as the page after the cover? The photo is upside down.
rusl4 Posted January 30 Author #3 Posted January 30 Yes and there are two letters inside. Not sure where he picked this up in the Pacific, his daughter said it was taken off a dead Japanese soldier. He was with the 4th Marine Air Wing.
Mr. Bushido Posted January 31 #4 Posted January 31 This item was most likely written by an IJN sailor. Based on its contents, it appears to be a homemade manual compiling information regarding the operation of engines and various machines.
