yellowhammer history Posted February 6 #1 Posted February 6 I found this at a trift store, it seems it's swiss military but when is it from?
Marshallj Posted February 7 #2 Posted February 7 It says "Swiss Made" which would lead me to believe it is a civilian cap made for export.

Godi Posted February 16 #4 Posted February 16 Yes, it is a Swiss Army cap that was intended for the 1974 combat uniform (Gebirgsmütze zu Kampfanzug 74), but was later issued to all Swiss soldiers for winter wear. I wore a cap like this myself in the military. It was introduced into the army in 1974 and manufactured to order in 1975/76 (bottom right in the picture); the number 59 indicates the size.
