yellowhammer history Posted March 31 #1 Posted March 31 I wasn't sure where to post this since I'm not exactly sure what I have. Anyways I found these ties at a trift store probably 2 years ago and just remembered that I had them. The store had a bunch of ties like this that had labels attached like this, I researched them enough to have a basic understanding of what they are. the thing is I could not find a match to these or any of the other ties that were there that I took pictures of. So what are these? And why might they be labeled like this?
Marshallj Posted March 31 #2 Posted March 31 Regimental ties are commercially available to anyone. The ties symbolize military heritage and pride, representing specific units and their history. Wearing a tie from a regiment you haven't served in is considered inappropriate or as our British cousins say, “Bad form.”
yellowhammer history Posted April 4 Author #4 Posted April 4 I did some more searching and found this on ebay. So perhaps it is real though I still can't find the other one.
