Danny J Posted May 23 #1 Posted May 23 I recently acquired a 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division formation sign to continue with my British patch collection. I just wanted to post on here as my research is not conclusive. Do any of you experts know if the manufacture type is a known variant, early war/late war.... or known reproduction. The white on the reverse is obviously glue from a previous owners display technique, so i can forgive that, but has anyone have opinion on it authenticity of WW2 era production.? Thanks guys👍
teamski Posted May 24 #2 Posted May 24 My personal opinion is late WWII or more likely 1950's. You had a good amount of formation signs in WWII that were printed. I would be happy to have one like yours in the collection. I think mine is paper backed which were also seen in WWII... -Ski P.s. British Formation Signs are a lot more complex than US made patches, I can tell you that!
Danny J Posted May 25 Author #3 Posted May 25 Right, ok, well thankyou. So could be late WW2 hey. Thanks Teamski
