Hello All, I recently acquired a WWI period hallmarked Legion of Honor. It’s also marked “made in France” on the lower sections of the star. Anybody ever see something like this? -

Alan Badel Alan Badel Stage and Screen Actor, in WWII he was a Infantryman 2/4th Battalion, South Lancashire, which became the 13th (Lancashire) Parachute Battalion of the 6th Airborne Division., He makes all Operations , D-Day, Rhine etc, on another couple of pafges on him, like his Wiki state that he loses some hearing in one of his ears from a Shell, presumbaly Enemy Shell, landing near by him., Explosion of it rather then shrapnel. Here's his extensive write up on ParaData. https://paradata.org.uk/content/4635922-sergeant-alan-badel -

Thought I would share this small group to a Corporal in the British Indian Army's 5th Division. This unit saw action from the early days in Eritrea and Somaliland, through North Africa and Italy with the British 8th Army, and finally to Kohima, and Imphal in Burma and the liberation of Singapore. So little is ever shown about the Indians who served the Empire and I have always found it to be a fascinating topic that when this uniform came available, and for a cheap price, I jumped on it. It pairs nicely with some field gear and a desert tan helmet. Some day I will add it to a full mannequin as I have the boots, socks, gaiters, and pants as well. Scott -

Another Heer Vest, did the best I could in enlarging that Manufacture Nomenclature Tag still kinda blurry, but seems to indicate it is a Vest for Sergeants, perhaps by virtue of the strip of Black around the neck opening??? -

12th Engineer Battalion, this battalion evidently wore unique cyphers on their shoulder strap, crossed Pick and Shovel along with battalion number, rather then just the number. This battalion will be from Saxony, note his Saxon Cuffs of his tunic. -
