The "8" looks like a double strike to me. Just a little sloppy strike. -

The Jubilee Medal "XX Years of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army" was awarded to staff and commanding officers of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and Navy who had, as of February 23, 1938 (the Day of the Red Army), served for 20 years in its ranks. -

That looks like a novelty jacket patch to me. The RAF never wore that thing -Ski -

Here is a British 18 Pounder projectile I've located. I'll be looking for a British No. 80 or 85 Fuze and an Inter-War Casing for this. I'm going for a Round that would have been used by the British Expeditionary Force in France c.1940. Please PM me if you can help! Best, John -

I would honestly do a lot of research beforehand as these items are faked a lot. The other option is to buy from a reputable dealer such as International Military Antiques, The Ruptured Duck, Epic Artifacts, Lakesidetrader, or Wittmann Antique Militaria, you will be paying full market value but you won’t have to worry about getting ripped off and spending money on a counterfeit. -

At this point, brother, I'd be happy to verify 100% which anchors come from which country's navy buttons. Maybe that's in one of those $400 books I can't afford. But looking at German navy buttons, I'm pretty sure those are German navy anchors. And Bakelite buttons are generally WW2 items just like steel-backed buttons are WW2 and vegetable ivory buttons are from WW1. Also, I got the big buttons in a pile of WW2 stuff, for what that's worth. So I've come here hoping for some info from a knowledgeable collector. I know it's just buttons and not the fancy stuff but I appreciate your comment. -

OK, I made an error with the subject name. It should read Belgorod Staging. That's because the Panther will be attached to the 2nd SS Pz. Div., Das Reich, near Belgorod, Ukraine. The Panther kit was a relic that belonged to my friend, and some parts were missing so I definitely had to kitbash it. But I like the way its coming along. I've begun the tracks, but I won't attach them until the appropriate time. I feel like they are going to be like Lars' M109 Palladin, they are going to take a little time. Here are some WIP pics. Enjoy and as always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated. -

Hello! Can you please identify this patch? Is it WW2 era or post war? -

Here's a picture of an obvious Yugoslavian post-war mg34 action cover ( bottom). I'm hoping somebody can identify the other one.... It has a little different construction and as you can see, the hole that the charging handle goes through is placed a little different than the Yugoslavian one... There is no markings anywhere on it. I've seen German ones that look very similar but I have yet to find one that looks exactly like this one.... Did the Germans not Mark some of their items or is this made in another country.... Thanks in advance -

Huh, interesting. I have never seen ones like this :)) Are you sure, they are WW2, though? Could be 1920s or post WW2, too. Do they have any markings on the back maybe?
