Did it get a decent turnout?

Thought a German made RAF-style cap made for the Dutch Air Force was kind of neat. I suspect 1960s as the maker’s mark looks like Bundeswehr caps of that period. Any other information appreciated! 

So I got this in a grouping years ago. The guy was in the CBI. I was wondering if this is a souvenir and if you can tell what it is made of. I don't think its bone but I don't know if it may be ivory or plastic. The characters look Chinese to me but maybe you all know better. The blade is just skosh over 12 inches and I think it may be from a broken sword but I'm just guessing. Thanks for any info . Also  looks as if there was something on the ends but was gone long ago. Mark
