Mr. Braddon actually interview Nancy Wake, and you can sure tell! It is mostly told by her, with some beefing out by Mr. Braddon. Excellent and full of adventure! This is more novel-like, definitely not dry! Nancy Wake was a truly remarkable person and you can see how she achieved what she did. Her dealings with Maquis leaders and the story of the black market pig in her suitcase which she got a German officer to carry through customs . . .those are two of the stand-outs for me! If you've ever known an Aussie, then you'll totally understand her point of view. Amazing story, amazing lady, amazing book! The version shown here is a modern paperback release, but it is very nice.
