Josef Posted July 14, 2019 #1 Posted July 14, 2019 This type personal field stove is one of the harder ones to find. These were used for everything to boiling coffee, heating meals, and keeping one warm in tent shelters. Here's one in great condition I own made in 1942. Loosely translating it warns not to use gasoline can cause a fire. The wick is original as well as the porcelain wick holder. The few I have seen are rusted with holes, missing handles, or damaged. If your into acquiring Field Equipment, add one of these to your collection.
M422A1 Posted November 10, 2024 #3 Posted November 10, 2024 I just bought one of these after wanting one for decades! Mine is dated 1943. I’ll post some pictures as soon as I can.
