Flea market German infantry NCO hat pick up

I bought this what I was later told is a WW2 German infantry NCO hat for 50 dollars at the flea market along with other German militaria which came out of a storage locker somewhere in California.

I'm guessing the writing inside of the hat is the former owner's name.

That is a great price,nice to see when collectors get a bargain price on items.Yes white piping = infantry.
