Hi everyone. I'd appreciate any help in identifying what unit/country this soldier fought in. I believe most of his medals are italian, but the second from the left looks to be from another country. Also, I'm not sure if his uniform is Italian with the cross style buttons. On his collar it has W. B. with what looks like an A in a flaming bomb so I assume he was most likely part of an artillery unit. The photo was actually taken at Campbell Studios in NY in 1919.

Red Cross/Medical volunteer to the Italian front would be my guess.

Yeah could be. The uniform itself doesn't really look like other WWI Italian uniforms that I have been trying to look at through period photos.
