AB45 Posted January 9, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2019 Hy The Winter Relief Organization of the German people (briefly Winter Relief or WHW) was in the period of National Socialism a foundation under public law, which collected donations in kind and money and thus "poor people" either directly or through auxiliary organizations of the "National Socialist People's Welfare" (NSV) supported. Through the Winter Relief Organization, the Nazi regime was able to alleviate the material distress of sections of the population and contribute to internal stabilization. At the same time, the fundraising aimed at the feeling of belonging to the "Volksgemeinschaft". The donation volume exceeded the financial year 1939/1940 the sum, which was raised from tax funds for public welfare associations. The state budget was thus relieved of social expenditure. There are 8000 badges from the WHW. But only the flags I liked so much. I bought some a few years ago.
