ussjfkcv67 Posted February 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2019 I was hoping someone could tell me what country these boots are from. I am leaning towards East German or Russian and possible flight boots but would love to have a positive ID. Pic

gwb123 Posted February 10, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2019 Can you post a side view and the soles/heels please? That will help a lot. The US used side pull zippers, especially the ACR troops on the West German Border. They had to be about as quick as firemen to roll out to their ready positions and did not have time to lace their boots. I am not sure if we got this practice from other countries, or if they got it from us.
themick Posted February 10, 2019 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2019 The letters in the markings appear to be Cyrillic, so these come from Eastern Europe. Steve
