KVSkelton Posted February 18, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 18, 2019 Greetings all! I have a period photo of several Panzer 38(t) crewmen and among the other soldats around them appears to be a Heer chaplain, though I'm not completely sure. He appears to be wearing a crucifix around his neck. Just looking for thoughts from some more knowledgeable collectors! Thanks in advance. It's an interesting picture to me regardless. And a closeup: Kev
Brig Posted February 18, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 18, 2019 Definitely looks like a crucifix, but doesn't necessarily make him a chaplain. Though since it appears to be an officer and it's hanging out, it's probably a safe bet that he is

Old Marine Posted February 19, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 19, 2019 Are there crosses on his collar tabs or is that just a light reflection. This is photo of a Navy chaplain that I found on the internet. Aside from the Chaplain aspect that's a great photo with lots of uniform detail. Thanks for sharing. I hadn't noticed that reflection/those crosses on his collar tabs before you mentioned it. Interesting! Thanks for the compliment on the photo. I collect photos of Panzer 38(t)s and the full photo has more of the tank in it, which makes it even better for me. It's one of my favorite photos in my collection for sure. Brig Posted February 20, 2019 Share #6 Posted February 20, 2019 I think it's just reflection on the tabs, not crosses
