That crescent moon and star symbol was used by the Ottoman Army, as you can see on this pair of epaulette. So far, I'm not coming up with any Imperial Russian uniforms that included that, but this is a start, and I will continue to look!
numbersix Posted August 28, 2021 #4 Posted August 28, 2021 I don't know about the star and crescent but the shoulder board may be for one of the Cossack Hosts, there were Muslim Cossacks I believe.
