kaydees Posted October 7, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2020 I was given this Bayonet & Scabbard. After researching the internet, I discovered that it is a British, Wilkonson 1907 GR (George Rex Bayonet) and Scabbard. I aldo found out the George Rex Bayonets were made after 1910 through WWII. On top of the 1907 it is stamped but I cannot make all of it out. The over all length is 22 3/4 inches, Bayonet is 21 7/8 inches, blade is 17 inches. The grips re stamped with a crown in the middle on both sides. There is a partial X on the reverse side of the blade indication George Rex. The Scabbard is leather with a stitched rib. The stitching is still tight with no problems. I am looking for information on three items. 1. Is all the information I have stated correct and what is the actual manufacture date? 2. What type of Frog was issued with the scabbard and Bayonet?? 3. What is the Bayonet and Scabbard worth. Kaydees Dwight Brown Kaydees@embarqmail.com 352-205-8536 Link to comment
