easterneagle87 Posted October 27, 2020 #1 Posted October 27, 2020 Helping my folks move and found this machete. No sir my family were military. It has the number “10” under a Broad arrow marking, and there is a second arrow near the bottom of the grip. It has a good heavy blade. Is it British military?
earlymb Posted October 28, 2020 #2 Posted October 28, 2020 Yes British military, there is also a version with a black bakelite handle. Originally it came in a leather scabbard. Check the blade near the handle for stamped markings
easterneagle87 Posted October 28, 2020 Author #3 Posted October 28, 2020 Thanks for the info. Couldn't pack it on the plane so I'll take a look when it's shipped to me.
SFC Posted October 28, 2020 #4 Posted October 28, 2020 Nice one, I think they were standard issue in the Centurion tanks.
easterneagle87 Posted November 17, 2020 Author #5 Posted November 17, 2020 I just got it in the mail from my sis. Here is the mark. Any better way to date this blade?
