British machete ??

Helping my folks move and found this machete. No sir my family were military. It has the number “10” under a Broad arrow marking, and there is a second arrow near the bottom of the grip. It has a good heavy blade. Is it  British military?

Yes British military, there is also a version with a black bakelite handle. Originally it came in a leather scabbard. Check the blade near the handle for stamped markings

Thanks for the info. Couldn't pack it on the plane so I'll take a look when it's shipped to me.

Nice one,

I think they were standard issue in the Centurion tanks.

I just got it in the mail from my sis. Here is the mark. Any better way to date this blade?
