Another flea market, I've actually been finding a lot of WW2 japanese stuff out there the last week. I'm betting it's all coming out of the same place. Anyway it's signed and I figured out it was made by ichihara nagamitsu. It's the most intact sword I've ever found out here. Hawaii is horrible for swords. The humidity rusts everything really badly and the bugs usual eat the handles.

Nice!  I've always liked the looks of the all-weather tsuka-ito on these Type 44s.  Congrats.
