WWI Machine Gun Badge

Another interest in my collecting field are WWI postcards. Here's two pics of soldiers wearing the Machine Gun badge and an example of the badge. In my readings soldiers that captured these alive were often shot. So many were killed with machine guns that the hatred became intense. They were treated like the German snipers in WWII. Not sure how prevalent the practice was but the Germans did deploy MG's in large numbers compared to the opposing forces.
