WW1 Langenhan Heersmodell .32 Pistol

Just got this pistol and can't wait to shoot it. It's a 2nd variation and has "R.M.G.83.226" unit markings. Reserve machinegun?

A neat Langenhan pistol with a unit marking.  Most Reserve units have a script "R" but some seemed to have a Latin "R" like yours.  So, a Reserve Machine Gun Unit #83 (with the 226 being the weapon number) is as good a guess as any I suspect.

Absolutely beautiful Imperial German WW1 Issue weapon ! A little on the worn side, but not commonly found, at least these days anyway. Do you have Jan Stills Series of Axis Handguns, much information is to be found there, especially in Volume # 1, the early edition.
