How to ADJUST BASE FONT SIZE Using Internet Browsers

If you're struggling with reading the text on the forum (or think it appears spidery), here are some ways to fix this problem using the settings in common Internet Browsers. Right now, there is an easy fix in both Edge and Firefox browsers, but not for Chrome.

Post 1: Microsoft Edge

Post 2: Mozilla Firefox

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adjustments in Microsoft Edge:

First, click the three dots at the top right of your Microsoft Edge browser screen to open the Edge menu. Then select the "Settings" button.

Once you are in the "Settings" screen, select the "Appearance" button on the left-hand side.

Scroll down to the bottom of the "Appearance" options in the right-hand column and select "Customize Fonts".

Your screen should now look like this. You want to play around with adjusting the "Font Size" and "Minimum Font Size". These settings control every site you view in your browser, but the default settings are rather tiny. The best way to adjust this is to open tabs for any sites that you use often and view them as you adjust. The font changes only take a second or two to show up, or you can hit the F5 key. There's no limit to how many adjustments you can try, so don't be afraid to take awhile to figure out what size really works for you.

This is the view of a forum thread before any adjustment in my Browser Settings (as seen above).

I then adjusted the font settings to this:

And the same thread now looks like this:

You can make it even larger than this, so I'm sure it will depend on each user's monitor, so don't be afraid to figure out the perfect size for your set-up.

Check the box beside "Zoom text only", and change the dropdown "Default zoom" box above to 150% (or whatever percentage you prefer). It should now look like this:

And the same thread now appears like this (using the 150% setting):
