GCCE1854 Posted May 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2021 As promised in a different thread, here are photos of a pair of Coldstream Guards swords. I'm posting the first one in this post and will reply with photos of the second. This sword has a Coldstream sword knot. The gent who owned these served from 1847 to 1854 (he was killed in the Crimea) and is one of my pet family research projects! Any input on either sword is most appreciated. Link to comment
GCCE1854 Posted May 19, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted May 19, 2021 And this is the other sword with the Coldstream marking on the blade. Would it be likely that one of these was the dress sword and one was the sword that would have been used in fighting? If so, which is likely to have been used when? Link to comment
