These little sawdust soldiers are fairly fragile and certainly not kid proof.  The condition of yours is great.  

 

I fondly recall going to the toy shop in Tulsa with my dad and buying these figures.  Mine were heavily played with and did not survive in pristine condition.

Jerry- Bought them at SOS a couple of years ago.

 

I kept walking buy watching the dealer setting up and just thought they were cool.

 

I kept asking how much was the collection, and he kept saying wait until I'm finished.

 

So I waited, and then asked him to wrap them all back up.

I have to dig out my interwar German cigarette tobacco cards.  Many of these poses look so unique yet familiar to me.
