ID´d - Red back with flaming sword Italian collar tab

Trying to ID this patch and find out if it is WWII-era or not. Had an idea it could be German or Japanese, but I really don't know anything about it. I have these pictures, so hope this speaks to someone!  Thanks so much for any thoughts!

Looks like a Italian collar tab for Sappers. Size should be 7 cm x 5.5 cm. .   Rich A. in Pa.

Ha! German . . . Japanese . . . Italian . . . Guess you could argue all Axis! Thanks for that info. Any idea on era?
