These have been heavily copied over the years.  A close up photo of the rear lugs and how they attach to the back would be helpful in determining if it is a copy.  Rhodesian lugs are different from British lugs which is one way to determine if you have a fake piece.

Thanks I'll get better pics. it came with a para badge too, so I'll get some shots of that as well.

Any luck getting those close ups? Id be interested in seeing them myself as well to learn something thanks.

It's a fake. Every one of the badges in this collage are fake.

Authentic versions have much larger lugs than the one shown. I also think the 1st version is unmarked and later ones are maker marked.

If it's a fake of an ORs badge then it's made from the wrong material because ORs badges were anodized aluminium and die struck.

The reverse was smooth. The first issue were not stamped. ORs collar badges were never stamped.
