Is this a real Fairbairn Sykes or an reproduction

This is a knife I took a picture of several months ago.  It is from an elderly neighbor who has the Japanese Railway Dirk. On initially seeing it I thought it was a reproduction. I blew it off because of the group of Japanese items that were high quality.  It came from his WWII veteran father. I know you are going to ask for more photos and other details, but he does not know where he put it now. If you think it is real I will go back over and we will find  where he put it.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Tim

Thanks for the feedback, just left the 85 year old to let him know. The problem now is where is it. This is the second time we looked for it with no luck. I hope he did not throw it out when cleaning out the garage.  I have sold about 10 military items and all his coins, my mistake was not bringing it to my house until it was verified.

Wartime Private Purchase 2nd pattern, etched with customer name at Wilkinson Shop in London.

These are becoming very desirable.

Try not to leave it on concrete too much, blade looks very nice.

Hope you can find it.
