When in the US Navy I was in a Cargo handling battalion we had to do an offload and onload dropping off equipment and putting on equipment on a cargo ship coming back to the states we were up by Navik stayed in a Norwegian army barracks we were there 17 days with only a day and a half off not much time to check out Norway. But on that rare day off got to check out this WW2 German Naval gun set up as a shore battery. The cement bunker the gun sits on was made by Russian POW's some were shot and thrown into the concrete. Also, a photo of my younger crazy self-getting ready to be shot out of the barrel. This is up by Norvik Norway.

Awesome pics.  Looks like this historic site and artifacts are very well kept up.  Hats off to the Norwegian government for preserving it and to you for sharing.

Now there is a cannon to put in your front yard.  The neighbors would love it.
