Field Police Cap?

This came a WWII veteran's estate.  There were Volksturm armbands, and this cap. The piping is VERY orange.

The cap does not look like Feldgendarmerie to me.  It does look like Werkschutz.  Werkschutz (Factory Protection) used this type of grayish salt 'n pepper uniform and cap material.  While the Heer Feldgendarmerie did not pipe their Waffenfarbe around the crown of their Schiffchen (side caps) but piped in an inverted V on the front over the red, white, black colors.  The Werkschutz did use a reddish distinguishing color.
