atb Posted September 30, 2024 #1 Posted September 30, 2024 On a German 1871 bayonet, maker Gebr. Weyersberg and Erfurt, dated 1879. It is marked "e.t.475" on the cross guard. Anyone know the meaning of the marking?
SARGE Posted October 2, 2024 #2 Posted October 2, 2024 A photo of the markings would help as capital letters, lower case, script all mean different things. Might be Etappe if done in script? Ersatz, Eisenbahn & Eskadron were also used.
