Hello, I found this at a local auction that ends very soon, it looks interesting, and I just wanted to see if any of you knew what is was/what the markings mean on it, as I have never seen them. It is a shame that the condition is not good, and no scabbard, is this one I should pass on you think? Thank you.

Definitely German made could be an NCO sword.

Is it just a German made sword do you think? Or a German made and used model?

The blade markings indicate the sword was made by WKC (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Companie for export it seems since it has "Germany" on the blade.  Rough condition and no scabbard.
