Just purchased this. This is the earliest photo postcard I have of Hitler. Hand written date on the back 6/6/31. Has anyone seen a postcard like this?

Interesting shot! Haven't seen this one before and I handle postcards quite a bit. Can you show us the back? Curious about any info re: photographer or publisher.

There is no publisher/photographer printing in the back. Just something hand written in German that I cannot read. Then handwritten date 6/6/31.

Yes. I noticed that too. Pretty boring. But then again, being very early he didn't have full power at the time so he wasn't gloating as much?

A little hard to see - a scan would be better. First word is definitely "Aufnahme," which in this case refers to the picture, then either "von" (by) or "vor" (in front of) and then either a last name or a place. The script is a bit unusual for the period - more Latin than Kurrent.

I don't have a way to scan it. Thanks for trying though. It looks like "von".
