GAZOO Posted February 2 #1 Posted February 2 This Boxed Medal, Award Certificate, Paper work & Original addressed envelop with postal date are all part of my AVG "Chuck Older" Group I believe the Paper Work is Signed by Chiang Kai-shek and I would like to know exactly where on the Document it is located ? I am also very interested in what the rest of the certificate says ??? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that makes sense when compared with the 4th photo scan above, The English Version of "Certificate of Decoration" From Lin Shen (?) Chairman of the National Government of the Republic of China Is that the only name on the Certificate ? Is The English Version a written translation of the Chines Certificate ?
Mr. Bushido Posted February 3 #4 Posted February 3 That's exactly right. "【歐爾徳】Olde" is a Chinese pronunciation of Older. I think each sentence in English and Chinese is fully corresponding.

I will have to take a closer look, thanks for pointing that out. I do appreciate anything you can tell me about this certificate, However I prefer to call it an original stamped signature Thanks again
GAZOO Posted June 12 Author #8 Posted June 12 Been a Minute but just noticed something From my LIMITED research on the Ribbons used for each Grade of the Order of the Cloud and Banner I see ONLY 1 ribbon with WHITE Boarders, edge. The 4th Grade that also mentions "WITH Special Cravat" ????? could this mean with both a ribbon and Cravat The award above has the Supporting Documentation showing number 466 and 4th Grade noted in paperwork QUESTION did they come with CRAVAT and a Ribbon with Rosette ???? OR Only with a Cravat PLEASE NOTE the ribbon attachment on the one above is not the same as others I have seen, Also Sadly the ribbon is missing the back half, not sure why ??? Could it have been issued this way to allow for either the Cravat or the Ribbon ? OR has this been added from his 5th Grade he was requested to return (although the 5th is a cravat as well) another long shot 🙃 theory is it may have originally had a Neck Ribbon that he did not like, note damage to blue enamel, could have fallen off and got damaged, leading him to replaced with this ribbon ??? Thanks for any response on this
GAZOO Posted June 12 Author #9 Posted June 12 Here is C. Older and R.T. Smith sporting what I assume are there 5th Grade Order of the Cloud and Banner NOTE the RIBBON COLORS and the fact the record shows C Older was awarded number 285 5th Grade OCaB NOTE These are both RIBBON form not CRAVAT
GAZOO Posted June 12 Author #10 Posted June 12 Had I read the post by Hsin C. Hsin C. Answer I would have answered my above questions 😍
