I found this pin with a group of military pins and ribbons. The bird on it looks like the messerschmitt logo but I have not been able to find any Messerschmitt logos with the red 0 like this pin. I was thinking it may be an employee badge since it is numbered on the back. Each side of the pin is 35mm -

These M38 Officer caps are hard to find in my experience. I don't see a problem with the proper hand sewn insignia. Are the air vents zinc? -

Compare yours with an original. Hardware is all wrong.Backing plate is not crimped.
