Came across these two close up stills from film footage of the campaign in China, probably late 30s One with Fur Hats is cool, here we see that these hats could be made with different fur, the nap and the color being different among them. The other, the face of a charging soldier in warmer weather is equally cool. -

Interesting custom job, a Short Sleeve Shirt in Splinter, we suspect this was done in Italy given the Coolness provide by Short Sleeves in the hot Italian Summer of 44. -

I bought the first class from a forum member years ago so I thought that one was safe. That’s a bit of a disappointment. Thank you -

The Iron Cross Second Class 1939 looks genuine. I don't know if there is a hallmark on the suspension ring, but I think it's an authentic, three ~ piece manufactured, excellent specimen. Ribbon looks genuine as well. The Iron Cross First Class 1939 is a one ~ piece manufactured reproduction. There is a crude attempt at a numeric hallmark, "147"{?} on the pin. There is no "147" hallmark, to my knowledge, on genuine specimens. Likely, that number is a fantasy. It is a very high ~ end, "museum quality" reproduction, though. The War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords looks genuine, wartime solid zinc with tombak plating. I think the suspension ring is original to the medal, and if the hallmark is indeed "18", that's Karl Wurster KG of Markneukirchen. Outstanding authentic example. I think the ribbon may be genuine as well. Unused German pre ~ war SA collar tab. Unsure if it's a reproduction. Thought this was of interest... Given the length and shape... I was hoping to confirm some of my ww2 German medals before I start to sell some of them off. The Merit Cross really looks suspicious to me. Thank you for looking. 1st class Merit cross -

This one is my favorite. this belt buckle I found at my first ever flea market, it was sitting on the table for $45 and I talked the guy to $20. I am not really a TR collector, on average I knew these went for $90-$150, so I didn’t have much to lose. Lo and behold when I get home I research it and find out it’s a fairly rare maker and the last sold one (at that time) had sold for just around 200. It is by far my best find from a flea market and my favorite out of my very minuscule TR collection. I think when I see it I enjoy more for the memory rather than the piece itself. It may not be anything spectacular or ultra desirable, but it definitely holds a special place in my heart l.
