I would be very cautious with any SS militaria being sold online as SS stuff is counterfeited the most since it is the most rare and expensive of all German militaria. Who is selling it and what website is it listed on? -

I got this item today at an antique fair for 40 pounds it is a German Afrika corps trench art cigarette case these are quite common but what separates it from the crowd is that it has Tower Bridge and a German shepherd on it this was made by a POW for an offer in the camp -

An attack through an enemy gun position. A well-chosen theme implemented with outstanding dynamic. Well done so far and thanks for sharing! -

So, my wife and I went to the Allentown gun show yesterday and I found an awesome British Army DCM medal group. The only drawback was that the soldier was from the Army Service Corps instead of an infantry unit. So I looked it over carefully, checking for any red flags, i.e. renamed medals, replacements etc. It was perfect. So we stepped away to see if i had enough cash and looked at a couple more tables before heading back to get the group. Well, the dealer at one of those tables already had the group behind his table looking at it. That quick! I was completely heartbroken. Anyways the dealer let me take a photo of it. My wife told me that she a has never saw me so disappointed this much before. This sucks! Ugh! -Ski -

This is an original color print entitled, “In Einem Soldatenheim” (In a soldier’s home). The print itself measures 37.5cm x 32.5cm (approx. 14 3/4”x12 3/4”). After a bit of cursory research, I discovered this is an art plate print and represents just one of at least 52 (that I can find, anyway) color prints in a series from 1942 entitled “Das Heer im Grossdeutschen Freiheitskampf" (The Army in the German Struggle for Freedom) which was aimed at being available specifically for the interests of German youth. The photo plates were originally stored in an art style folder. The series of plates were prints of color photographs taken by German Army war correspondents, and published by Förster & Borries of Zwickau, Germany.
