Just a guess, - could have made in Egypt, India, Japan, Fiji, Singapore and many other areas where Commonwealth Forces served.    below are a a few pages from a book by Barry and Matthew O’Sullivan         Comparison with fabrics fro the different countries would  be a means to identify the origin of the garment.

While at a trift store I noticed a coat that looked military, after a minute of inspecting it I finally found the tag. I believe this is west german? I don't have a photo of the whole coat but I got two photos online that look to be the same. I did take a picture of the tag for future reference. I was wondering if anyone could tell me when it's from?

Yes they're called arm of service strips and Yes, Sergeant. Though he dose not have the Royal Armoured Corps Arc for whatever reason.

had this badge also like the pilot badge i listed for many years. it is made by Assmann. like the pilot badge i listed this one also has a war time repair from what i have been told. love these Luftwaffe badges.
