What's up Mike, the tie tapes are also bad, but what I can see the tie tape rings on both sides look O.K.. Can you please post photos of the manufacturers stamps on the rear skirt. Good luck trying to find an original liner.          Thanks,Bill

Here you go. Probably can see immediately that the liner is a poor reproduction. I have a quality repro on the way. I'll be looking for a correct wwii liner in the meantime.

There are much better examples available of both daggers, Pricey, yes, but you may want to consider Quality over Quantity when purchasing high end Third Reich items, or else you will be stuck with a mediocre hard to sell parts daggers or worse...   Again just my thoughts   Leigh

Better safe than sorry and as Preppy Picker said, there shouldn't have been a tricolor decal on this later war M42. That alone with a questionable eagle, is enough imo to return it. I'm glad the seller was understanding and refunded you. Single decal LW helmets are pretty common so with patience, you should be able to land a nice, solid example  : )

Yeah seems a little too good to be true. I wound up returning it for a full refund and thankfully the seller was totally understanding. He doesn’t deal with German items so I don’t blame him for not knowing.
