I've got nothing...I like the carved grip, and shape of the blade, scabbard etc.  The one cross-guard looks crudely repaired. Seems real whatever it is, but I can't find anything that looks like that. Not even close. How much is it?  If cheap enough, I would take a chance.

East German (DDR) border guard (collar tabs green) officer’s tunic

I've noticed these on most uniforms but what are they? I'm not very familiar with german stuff in general. I couldn't find a explanation on them but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Any chance we could get a picture of lining? The quality seems to be a bit better than a re-enactors coat. It follows the typical regs of an infantry regiment coat with Edwardian general service buttons. These continued to be worn into the 30's with the guard regiments wearing them up to present day. The wool looks like high quality British produced fabric.

I have a Civil wartime Ink Stamp from Öhringen manufactured by a print shop / book store that's still in business. They even have a FB page! It would be fun to visit the shop and show the ink stamp, but I'm afraid it may not be received well.. ;D
