I was hoping some of you knowledgeable fellow Forum members could give some opinions on the three items I have shown. One is a Gau Essen “SS” belt buckle, the other is a SS badge ( ~3 1/4” x 2 2/16)commemorating a 1934 winter meeting secured onto a marble base to make a paperweight and the third an officer’s metal breast eagle ~3 3/4” (Army or navy?). I’m suspicious of all three but wanted either confirmation or differing opinions. The belt buckle is not marked and neither is the breast eagle. The buckle is magnetic so steel. I’d appreciate any help and comments. Thanks so much! Jim -

I was really hoping to see some Memes in this thread. "Is that the new Space Force dress uniform....is that leather? No that that's the top scoring drone ace....Baron Von Cybr" -

It's a different world over there. We as American's take for granted our humdrum daily lives and freedom and liberty to do so. It's always a constant threat just under the surface over there. -

Good idea. I will have to give them a call. It's 2+ hours away. I do know an IDF veteran who served for about 30 years. He also doesn't talk about it much but when he does he has some funny stories. Like the time he had to clear Yasser Arafat's brother at a check point. Imagine trying to enter Israel with that name? -

Great find. You might try to find out how it came into the store. I knew one American IDF Volunteer from the 7 Days War and he was from Texas. Alot of these vets have passed on and their story us slowly being lost to time. Most of them are pretty humble and keep it under their hat so to speak. -

You're welcome! I appreciate the comments. I just couldn't let it become a Halloween costume or get broken up. -

The “E inside the D” stamp is the Enfield arsenal mark. I did research on Brens a couple of years ago when I built my parts gun. A fun project. Mikie -
