Here is a German Third Reich Schutzpolizei (Municipal Police Tunic). Rank on Shoulder is for Meister. Meister was the highest enlisted rank of the Ordnungspolizei. Ribbon bar (left to right) consists of Iron Cross 1914 Second Class ribbon, Hindenburg Cross Second Class ribbon with Swords. City sleeve eagle is for W. Gladbach-Rheydt area. Rheydt is a borough of the German city Mönchengladbach, located in the west of North Rhine-Westphalia. Loops on the pocket may have been for a WW1 wound badge or Sports Badge.. Leigh -

East German items are getting harder to find that have not been copied or messed with. These are really great items to one person. Was fortunate enough to get many East German uniforms when I was in Berlin right after the Berlin Wall came down. Leigh -

Many of these exist out there, but it was my first, and only, German medal I’ve purchased in a case. Purchased from a collector’s shop in NH in about 1992. -

The details are explained from the right. ・【 消防局】 → " Fire Department" ・【第 分団第 号】 → " Squad , No. " ・【氏名 ??? 】 → "Name ??? " ・【 謹製】 → "Made by " The ink on the name and etc were too faint to read. This fire helmet was probably used as shown in the photo on this website. The photo shows a professional firefighter, so this may not be strictly accurate. https://www.city.kyoto.lg.jp/shobo/page/0000159144.html https://www.city.kyoto.lg.jp/shobo/page/0000159275.html https://www.city.kyoto.lg.jp/shobo/page/0000159280.html -
