Agree that this is a cast copy, post war made. Imperfections in the arms of the swastika (not smooth or at least filed down) Red Flag for me. Leigh -

Are WW1 cups hard to find? I may get a repro for the time being just to have something with it. I figured the khaki was probably incorrect. Do you know what the khaki strap originally would of went to? -

Nice. Shame it has no cup. Shoulder strap should be leather. Ricn A. in Pa. -

I scored on this WW1 canteen at an antique store, they had it labeled as vintage canteen for $24. I don't think they knew what they had. It's definitely original I have no doubt on that. I need help figuring out what type of canteen this is. From my research it appears to be a medical/mountain canteen. It's dated 1915 I can't quite make out the makers mark. The cover is made of wool and has a khaki colored carrying strap. The wool/leather is damaged in some spots but from my understanding that's normal for a 100 plus year old canteen. All the ones I saw online had some type of damage, id imagine finding one in mint condition would be rare. I tried to show all the holes on the cover the best I could without trying to damage the cover. I may have scored bigger then I thought, I didn't realize WW1 medical canteens are rare to find. If this is infact what I have I did way better then I thought. -

I have a burned DVD of speeches from Vichy France. Basically its Marshall Petain doing "fireside chat" type talks. A lot of this stuff used to be easier to find. There was dealers at the MAX who specialized in Spanish and Italian items. You still see some but not like you did. But things fluctuate. If anyone knows of any dealers or websites that specialize in Spanish, Italian or other fascist movements, please let me know. -

Looks like a cast fake. Not at all crisp. Compare to some originals. -
