Oof. That is NOT brown. It looks like Dijon mustard. Dang it True Value, glad I only spent $7 for that paint.

After priming the inside I noticed a stamp, 204. Lot number maybe? Never noticed it before now.

I got this group at the Reading airshow this last weekend.  It was missing the 9 Year Service medal with the mount tongue broken off.  I got a replacement medal for pretty cheap (i.e. what it was worth) and sewed it on instead of trying to replace the tongue itself and screwing the whole thing up.  Now I can sleep in peace.....   -Ski

I was at a massive flea market in Berlin a few weeks ago while on vacation and I could've spent the whole day there. I didn't expect it to be so good, so we only set aside a couple of hours to check it out. There was a section with scores of boxes full of books, documents, photos, you name it. Tons of good DDR era items and even some TR. I was able to find a nice TR era grouping of letters, postcards and photos (one of a soldier) for a family there in Berlin. Not much in value, but very cool all the same. I also found a 1930 Catalog in great condition from Stempel Kaiser there in Berlin, considered the top producer of TR Seals and Rubber Stamps. Apart from the normal business, they produced high level SS seals/stamps and even AH's. Great reference for serious Seal/Stamp collectors.

WOW, super items! I was just in Normandy for the past two weeks and have a new appreciation for battlefield relics. Thanks much for posting!
