Can anyone identify this medal? The ribbon is purple and green. Thanks for your help.

The writing looks to be Pakistani. No clue what it was for.

It's certainly in the manner of a British Service Medal, so perhaps it is Pakistani or maybe Sudanese, as they like the Indians continued many of the traditions they had as a part of the old Indian Army.

It is the Sudan Native Officer's Medal.

 

First issued in 1933, it appears to be quite scarce as the only sale I could find was from 2009 for £880.
