This is an FSLN banner that my friend brought back from Nicaragua circa 1995. My friend was doing some humanitarian work in Nicaragua and traded some modern clothes to another US citizen for this banner. He told me this banner came from the outside of Daniel Ortega's home during the time he was under house arrest. Their office was right across the street from Ortega's home! I can tell you that several of the loops are broken as if it was torn down. My buddy told me he could have been executed or put into a Nicaraguan jail (a fate worse than death)for having this flag in his possession.
