LF&C 1918 trench knife that it is marked to the Pakistani Police, or other Police in that region. The Arabic translates, from either Persian or Pashto, as reading Police, and then it has the Star and Crescent beside it. It is a phonetic rendering of the English word 'Police' in Urdu script. The Arabic word for police transliterates as 'shurrta' being corrupted from the French 'Sûreté '

Was the original scabbard with the blade or was a replacement scabbard of a different type available.
