Shown here is a rare original serial numbered Katanga Gendarmerie Parachute Badge that is a variation of the one shown above. Both are authentic and I believe that this may be an earlier type. If my information is correct, only 100 of this type were made. Why there was a design change, I do not know. This was a short lived Nation.
