November 25, 20187 yr #1 All, This is a local antique store find. When I was looking around I noticed the crown in the belt buckle is unusually large compared to other ww1 german belt buckles. Unfortunately, I cannot find out anything about this belt buckle. If anyone has any additional info I would greatly appreciate it! - Nick K
November 26, 20187 yr #2 That is the Prussian buckle used during the Franco-Prussian war, a little larger than the WWI type.
November 26, 20187 yr Author #3 Dan, Thank you for the help! I haven't seen much Franco-Prussian War items, how common is an belt buckle like this? - Nick K
January 17, 20197 yr #4 Not rare but tough to locate in that condition, also many of these were unit stamped on the lip of the buckle
