Help with identification of Russian (?) rifle case

Hey comrades,

 

I've got this really high-quality rifle case which appears to be unissued. I'm very weak on my Combloc uniforms and equipment but I've been told that this camouflage is Russian.

 

I'm guessing that this could only be for a sniper rifle as it has quality materials and workmanship. For some reason, the gray color of the leather tells me this might be East German??

 

Any help would be appreciated!
