I thought I would post an example of a fake German pistol holster. This is actually a well used Russian holster for the Makarov pistol that has fake markings applied. While the holster itself shows actual age and use it has a fake embossed stamp on the reverse that shows a Munich maker and a 1935 date within a box. Here is a good example of one of the pitfalls of collecting. Buyer beware!

Is there. any thing that hasn't been faked ?? It used to be that forgeries were more easily detected, but with this many fakes of all types of gear it must amount to at least
