I never had anyone look at this but I always thought this was fake, fake, fake but decided to get a final opinion on it. No markings anywhere that I can see. I know, I know, someone did a horrible job of attempting to attach the catch on back of the plate.

It is currently "decorating" a shelf in my barn.

I do not like it. I also do not like the catch hook. The back looks way too new. How big is Ks? Length? Width?

I would say this is no good as well. Lacks detail, backing looks odd, no markings, etc. But can I see the bottom?

 

Many of the reenactor pieces have cheap welds that popped the catch off and forced repairs like this too.

Not a fan the welds on the back are sloppy, the front seems to be aged. While the back is very fresh and clean
