I think this is a Prussian paymaster we just got in. I normally don't collect these but this one is making me rethink that. Plus it is really big and almost fits me!

Condition looks amazing and the detail on the Eagle superb! Of course once you get one, others seem to follow!

Yes, congratulations, a beautiful Paymaster Helmet.

 

It is missing the small gilt/brass color mini eagle on the upper tail feather/lower body area. I believe it is also supposed to have gilt/gold color retaining stars on the spike base instead of silver ones. The curved shaped chin scales are correct for paymaster.

 

I wouldn't blame you a bit for deciding to keep it since it is such a beauty.

 

I've attached a couple photos of my helmet. It's made by Depaheg Patent so it has a fiber body, and it came with a tan field cover.
